“CCF team was incredible. We originally hired them as our photographers, thinking we didn’t need a wedding video. As we got deeper into wedding planning we realized a video would be something really special, especially since my grandparents couldn’t make it to our wedding because of the distance.
Chris graciously pivoted to be our videographer instead when we asked, and we hired his friend Justin Laugen as our photographer.
We didn’t get the chance to meet Chris until the day of our wedding since we live on the east coast, but throughout the planning process he was always willing to hop on a call to talk about anything. He is responsive, kind, punctual and funny! Upon meeting him, he made us feel comfortable right away. I remember being a little nervous about not knowing how to be in front of a camera, but they provided good direction and helped us be at ease during the whole day.
I didn’t really have a vision for what I wanted our video to be, so just told them to go for whatever they thought was best. The end result was simply art. His style is so much more than a cookie cutter wedding video—he plays with movement and lighting and angles in a way that really captured the joy that we felt throughout the day and was honestly so different than many wedding films I’ve seen.
My husband and I also sprung to get the raw footage of what Chris and team shot—and oh my god I’m so happy we did. Being able to watch the day back is a treasure I will cherish forever.

The Dream Team
Hannah and Ben’s wedding can be summed up with one phrase, The Dream Team. After pivoting to shooting only video for Hannah and Ben, we were thrilled they asked our good friend Justin Laugen Photography to photograph their wedding day. With the incredible planning team at Rooted Hearts Event Coordinating, the day went off without a hitch.
