Rain, rain, rain.
There’s always a chance of rain in December and Hannah and Alvin had their wedding on the tail end of a storm so there was plenty of it. So much in fact, there was no opportunity for any couples portraits during sunset, and barely any photos or videos were taken outside at all. Despite the circumstances, Hannah and Alvin’s enthusiasm for their wedding never faltered.
We started out the day with a traditional Chinese wedding practice “The Wedding Door Games.” The bridal party gave Alvin some tough questions and challenges to prove he was worthy of Hannah’s hand in marriage. Most were playful like what’s her favorite Boba order, but one challenge had Alvin singing and dancing for her love.
We’ll never forget the way Alvin addressed his guests during the dinner, choking up multiple times, you could tell he was incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love they both were receiving on their wedding day.
Lastly, because of the rain, we decided to take them out to Pena Adobe in Vacaville a few months later to capture some bride and groom portraits since the rain didn’t allow us, and we’re so glad we did. Those moments tie the video together so perfectly and we didn’t want them to miss out on those portraits. Below are some of Hannah and Alvin’s wedding gallery!
